Ursula Mayes was born on a military base in Seoul, South Korea. Her exotic looks come from a Korean mother and a German/Native-American father. On primetime television, Ursula appears as suitcase model #5 on NBC’s hit show “Deal or No Deal”, hosted by Howie Mandel. During her 4 years with the show, DOND’s fame has skyrocketed, becoming the #1 game show in the world and reaching over 80 million households. Ursula is one of four models currently featured on an exclusive Deal or No Deal slot machine worldwide. Putting her comedic and improvisation skills to the test, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno called upon Ursula for its hilarious “Jaywalking” skit. Since then, they have requested Ursula in more than 5 episodes! Ursula must have made an impression because Jay himself requested Ursula for all new, ‘The Jay Leno Show’ to film another funny skit. Ursula is currently pursuing her acting career and taking scripts for lead roles. Growing up as an army brat has carried into Ursula’s adult life. She now tours the world as an international personality, representing various brands from all over the globe. After being discovered in a spread for Maxim magazine, Ursula signed a multi-year deal with a global events company, traveling to 20+ U.S. cities, Asia, Europe and Guam to host headlines, performances and interviewing celebrity guests, music groups and corporate sponsors. Alluring and versatile, Ursula is one of the most sought after fresh faces for editorial and commercial shoots. Her unique look gets her noticed everywhere she goes, but it is her down to earth nature and strong work ethic that makes her shine. She has appeared in major U.S. magazines such as Muscle & Fitness, Maxim, Stuff, OC Health, People magazine’s “100 Most Beautiful People” issue and most recent, cover of Runway Magazine. Internationally, Ursula has been featured in Korean magazines Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, In Style, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Esquire Turkey, Australian FHM and more. National corporate campaigns include Jim Bean, Nitto, Subaru, Burger King, Evan Williams, Monster Energy, Bacardi and Airsplat. THQ, the global videogame powerhouse, hired Ursula as the cover model and star of Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights, the follow up to its 2 million selling Juiced racing game, available on Xbox360™, PlayStation®2 and Nintendo DS™. She starred in the game’s television commercial, which aired worldwide on major networks such as MTV and Spike TV, as well as a special edition DVD just for her fans included with the game. She also appeared at the Juiced 2 Launch Event in London. Overseas, Ursula can be seen throughout Asia in her first multi-international print and commercial campaign for EI Solutions Skincare & Cosmetics. In addition, Ursula has filmed a commercial film (CF), for real estate development Hoban Apartments, considered a great achievement in the highly competitive Korean entertainment industry. Ursula enjoys quite an international following and is highly demanded in Asia, Europe and South America. Requests from her worldwide fan base have let to the development of her own line of merchandise including a website, calendar, DVD’s and posters. On a personal note, Ursula is a strong believer in helping others, donating a portion of her proceeds to help the children of the Pearl S. Buck Foundation of Korea, an organization committed to improving the quality of life, expanding opportunities for children and promoting an understanding of the values and attributes of other cultures, the injustice of prejudice, and the need for humanitarianism throughout the world.
