How do I report obscene or abusive content?

All user content that is publicly displayed on ClubDistrict.com has a Report Abuse link, next to or around the content (video, photo, or blog); click on this link to report abuse. If you cannot find this link, click here. We take all abuse reports on ClubDistrict.com seriously. Please read our terms and conditions to familiarize yourself with what is considered abuse and what is not. This will prevent false reports that can hinder our response time to legitimate reports.

 

 

How can I help promote ClubDistrict?

We always appreciate any help you can give us spreading the ClubDistrict.com name all over the web. Some suggestions include befriending our social network profile, asking your online friends to add or follow us, and placing one of our banners on your website or social network. How do I copy and paste text from MS WORD?

When copying and pasting text from MS WORD or other word processors, the text tends to carry over any formatting that was applied to it in MS WORD. If you paste content directly into ClubDistrict.com, it may carry the HTML code attributes attached to the text. When publishing that content to ClubDistrict, you may see some strange HTML characters. To avoid this from happening, you need to use the "Paste from Word" function to strip out the code. You will find this button in the second row of icons while in the ClubDistrict content editor window. The button has a "W" on it, representing the MS WORD logo.

 

 

How do I upload personal photos to my profile album?

Personal photos can be uploaded into your profile album by first logging in to your profile. If you do not have a profile, create one first click here. Personal albums are only visible from your profile. Additionally, personal albums are not private, so avoid uploading any photos you don't want your friends viewing. If you are a club photographer and want to upload a gallery to ClubDistrict’s club gallery, click here.

Once logged in:

  1. From your profile home page, click on the My Albums link.
  2. From the My Albums page, click on the Add New Album button.
  3. Type in your album title, select album date, then click on Continue button.
  4. If you have more than 10 photos to upload, use the JAVA Uploader by clicking RUN on the JAVA popup security window (you must have JAVA installed on your computer to use this feature). For instructions on using the JAVA Uploader, click here.
  5. If you have less than 10 photos to upload, click CANCEL on the JAVA popup security window, then click on Click Here to Upload Without Java link.
  6. Browse your computer for your photos, then click on the Upload button to finish.

How do I upload event galleries to my profile or ClubDistrict main galleries?

If you are a member, you can upload event galleries to your profile's album; however, if you want your event galleries to display in the ClubDistrict club gallery you must first be approved as a PRO Photographer by the ClubDistrict.com support team. To apply for PRO Photographer status, click here.

  1. From your profile home page, click on the My Galleries link.
  2. From the My Galleries page, click on the Add New Gallery button.
  3. Type in your event title and pertinent information, then click on Continue button. If you have a banner advertisement you would like to add to your gallery, click here for instructions.
  4. Use the JAVA Uploader by clicking RUN on the JAVA popup security window (you must have JAVA installed on your computer to use this feature). For instructions on using the JAVA Uploader, click here.
  5. Browse your computer for your photos, then click on the Upload button to finish. Depending on the quantity and size of your gallery, It may take several munutes to an hour to upload all your photos. Do not close or browse away from this page during an upload or your progress will be interrupted. Please wait for the DONE message before leaving this page.

How do I set my album cover for my gallery?

How do I request to have my photo removed from ClubDistrict’s main galleries?

If you uploaded the photo yourself, this can be removed from your profile by following the instructions linked here. If the photo was uploaded by another member, we request you contact them first, unless the photograph violates the removal policy in our terms and conditions. If the photograph violates our terms and conditions, please click on the Report Abuse link found under the bottom right corner of the full size photograph.

 

 

How do I delete a photo from my album?

You must be logged into your account to delete a photo from your album. Once logged in, follow the instructions below. You cannot delete photos from another members album. If you would like to have a photo removed from the club galleries, click here.

Once logged in:

  1. From your profile home page, click on the My Albums link.
  2. From the My Albums page, find and select the album containing the photo you would like to delete.
  3. Browse the album's thumbnails and open the photo your want to delete by double-clicking it.
  4. Once open, scroll to the bottom of the photo then click on the Delete Photo link.
 

 

How do I become a PRO Photographer?

ClubDistrict’s PRO Photographer program is for professional club photographers looking to take their passion for photography to another level. Not only does it give photographers access to upload club photos to ClubDistrict’s club galleries, it gives photographers the opportunity to make money as well. How can I tell if I am a PRO Photographer?

PRO Photographers have a "PRO" badge next to their member name in their profile. You would also have an extra link labeled "My Galleries" in the admin section of your profile, under the camera icon. If you are not a member of our PRO Photographer community, click here to learn more.

 

 

How do I access the PRO Photographer Community?

To access the PRO Photographer Community, you must be an approved PRO Photographer. PROs have access to the community through a link in their profile admin page. If you are not a member of our PRO Photographer community, click here to learn more.

 

 

How do I use the Java upload tool for club or event galleries?

For instructions on using the java upload tool for club or event galleries, click here. Only PRO Photographers can upload photos to the ClubDistrict club galleries.

 

 

How do I post my free banner ad?

For instructions on posting your free 300x100 pixel banner ad to your club gallery page, click here. Only PRO Photographers can upload banner ads to their ClubDistrict club galleries.

 

 

Can I upload videos to my profile?

Technically you are not “uploading” videos to your profile, you are “posting” them to your profile. What this means is that you can simply copy the desired YOUTUBE video URL and paste it directly into the “ADD Video” field in your ClubDistrict profile. We process that URL and transfer the video from YOUTUBE to your ClubDistrict profile. You can transfer any YOUTUBE video you like to your ClubDistrict profile this way. For instructions on how to post a video to your profile, read the next question below.

 

 

How do I upload, add or delete videos from my profile?

You must be logged into your profile. If you do not have a profile, create one first click here. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. First upload your video to YOUTUBE or if you want to add a cool video you found on YOUTUBE to your ClubDistrict profile, find the video on YOUTUBE.
  2. Locate the YOUTUBE URL. It should look like this example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDoOA8UVeSE
  3. Copy the URL, then go to your ClubDistrict profile home page and click on the MY VIDEOs link.
  4. From the My Video page, click on the Add Video button.
  5. Paste the YOUTUBE URL where instructed, then click on Continue.
  6. If you want, change the title, select a category, change the description or tags then click on Add Video.
  7. To delete a video, return to your profile home page, click on My Videos, then from the My Videos page, locate the video you wish to delete and click on the Delete Video button.
 

 

Can I add videos from MySpace or other video service?

No. Currently, you can only add video URLs from YouTube.

 

 

Will everyone be able to see the videos I post to my profile?

Yes. Any video you post will be added to your profile and can be viewed publicly. Your video will also appear in the community videos section of ClubDistrict. Please read our terms and conditions before posting any videos to ClubDistrict.com. Failure to comply with our terms and conditions will result in your profile being deleted.

 

 

How do I delete a video that I posted?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. From your profile home page, click on the My Videos link.
  2. From the My Videos page, locate the video you would like to remove, then click on the Delete Video link.
 

 

How do I add an event (club, concert, etc.) to ClubDistrict.com?

You must be logged into your profile. If you do not have a profile, create one first click here. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. From your profile home page, click on the My Clubs link.
  2. From the My Events page, click on the Post Events button.
  3. Once on the Post Event page, enter all your event information as instructed. If you cannot find your “venue” listed in the venue list, simply select “Different Venue (Not Listed)”, then add your venue information.
  4. If you have a guest list, click the Yes checkbox to enable your guest list function. If you do not have a guest list, click Continue and your event will be posted.
  5. If you enabled your guest list, click here for instructions.
 

 

How do I feature my event on ClubDistrict?

ClubDistrict offers two ways to feature your event. One way is the Slide Event Listing; this method is suited for events with cross market interest and with an audience of 1000 or more. The second way is the Featured Event Listing; this method is more suited for smaller regional events. To learn more and feature your event click here.

 

 

How do I set up a guest list for my event?

NOTE: You must add your event first. If you have not added your event, click here for instructions.
If you did not enable your guest list function when you first posted the event, please follow these instructions to enable your guest list. If you have, skip to step 3.

  1. From your profile home page, click on the My Clubs link.
  2. From the My Events page, locate the event you want to guest list enable and click on its Guest List link.
  3. Ensure the Enable Guest List check box is checked before you continue.
  4. Select the Guest List Cutoff Date. This is the date that ClubDistrict.com uses to automatically stop the online guest list.
  5. Select the Guest List Cutoff Time. This is the time that ClubDistrict.com uses to automatically stop the online guest list.
  6. Select the Max Number of Guests: Type in the maximum number of guests you can have on your guest list. ClubDistrict will cut off the guest list when this number is reached.
  7. Are additional guests accepted? Enable this check box if you accept “(+) pluses” on your guest list. For example: John Doe +2
  8. Guest list Instructions: In detail describe the benefits of being on the guest list, discounts, guest list name, time to show up and other relevant information.
 

 

Does ClubDistrict email me my guest list before the event?

No. It is your responsibility to download your guest list prior to your event. Failure to do so will result in some very unhappy guests.

 

 

How do I download my guest list?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. From your profile home page, click on the My Clubs link.
  2. From the My Events page, locate the event you want the guest list for, then click on Guest List link.
  3. From the Event Guest List page, scroll down to the Current Guests section, then click on link labeled Download List of Guests.
  4. At this point you can either Save the File or Open it directly in MS Excel or other spreadsheet application.
  5. Once downloaded, you can print or email your guest list from your computer.
 

 

How do I add myself to a guest list?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. Navigate the site and locate the event you would like to attend, then select the event.
  2. Scroll down to the Event Details section of the listing and locate the Guest List instructions and button. If you do not see the guest list information, the event does not have a guest list.
  3. If you plan on going to this event, you can add the event to your profile calendar by clicking on the I’m Attending button located under the event's map.
 

 

What is My Calendar?

My Calendar is your personal list of events you are on a guest list for, or clicked on the I’m Attending button in the events listing. This lets others see what events you’re going to, or what events you have gone to in the past. Adding yourself to an event will display your avatar under the “Find Me at this Event” header for that event. You have the option of removing these events from your calendar by following the instructions here.

 

 

How do I add an event to My Calendar or use the I’m Attending function?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. Navigate the site and locate the event you would like to attend, then select the event.
  2. Scroll down to the Find Me at this Event section of the listing and locate the I’m Attending button.
  3. If you plan on going to this event, you can add the event to your profile calendar by clicking on the I’m Attending button located under the event's map.
  4. If you are performing at the event, you can also click on the I’m Performing button and your avatar will display under the See Me Perform header.
 

 

How do I delete or remove myself from the attendance list for an event?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. From your profile home page, click on the My Calendar link.
  2. From the Events I am Attending page, locate the event you would like to remove yourself from.
  3. Click on the I’m Not Going link and you will be removed.
 

 

How do I add a Blog?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. From your profile home page, click on the My Blog link.
  2. From the My Blog page, click on the Post Entry button.
  3. Complete the blog entry, by adding a short title, selecting the proper category, adding an image, adding your blog content, then click on Continue button.
  4. If you would like to be a contributing blog editor, click here.
 

 

How do I become a contributing Blog editor?

ClubDistrict is always on the lookout for great blog writers who can contribute to our public blog community. Content needs to be compelling, unique, interesting, offbeat, positive and informative. If you have what it takes and would like to contribute, please email us a sample of your blog writing style to submit [at] clubdistrict.com.

 

 

How do I remove a blog?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. From your profile home page, click on the My Blog link.
  2. From the My Blog page, locate the blog you want to remove, the click on Delete Entry link.
 

 

How do I change my profile account information, password or email?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in to your profile home page perform the following:

  1. Click on Change Password to update your password.
  2. Click on Edit in your About Me section to change your email address.
 

 

How do I customize my profile?

You can add content to your profile and change your avatar; however, you cannot customize the CSS or HTML of your ClubDistrict profile. You cannot change the background colors or the font colors either.

 

 

How do I change my avatar?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. From your profile home page, click on the Change Avatar link located under your current avatar photo.
  2. From the My Profile Photo page you can either browse for a new avatar on your computer or select an avatar from the thumbnails. For better results when uploading your own avatar, we suggest resizing it to 100 x 100 pixels.
 

 

Can I create a unique URL for my profile?

No. ClubDistrict.com does not currently support unique URLs, but we will soon. You will be notified if this changes.

 

 

How do I delete my profile?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in click on Delete Profile from your profile home page.

 

 

How do I change my profile’s region settings?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. From your profile home page, click on the Region Settings link.
  2. From the Region Setting page, select the number of miles from your specified zip code. The larger the number of miles, the more gallery and event content you will see on ClubDistrict.com.
 

 

How do I delete messages from my inbox?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. Go to your message center by clicking on Messages from your profile admin page.
  2. Go to your inbox, find and open the message you want to delete.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of your message and click on Delete.
 

 

How do I edit my About Me details?

You must be logged into your profile. Once logged in to your profile perform the following:

  1. From your profile admin page, scroll down to your About Me section.
  2. Click on the Edit link, the About Me edit screen will be displayed.
 

 

How do I become a Starlet of the Month?

How do I add a celebrity to the Celebrity Sightings section?

If you spot a new celebrity in the galleries and would like to have them recognized in the Celebrity Sightings section, shoot us an email at pr [at] clubdistrict.com. We will do our best to verify their celebrity status and add them to the section in a timely manner.

 

 

How do I request to use the ClubDistrict logo?

ClubDistrict's logos, logotypes, signatures and design marks ("ClubDistrict logos") are valuable assets that ClubDistrict needs to protect. Remember that you are generally not able to use ClubDistrict logos unless you are specifically licensed or authorized to use them. Information regarding Logo programs under which you may be licensed to use ClubDistrict logos and information on obtaining other authorization can be found here.

 

 

I’m going on a trip or a vacation, what should I do?

If you are going on a trip within the United States, you can change your profile region settings to match the city you will be visiting. This way when you login to your profile, our gallery and event content will reflect the city you’re visiting. When you get home, make sure to change your region settings back to your city settings. No gallery or event content displays on ClubDistrict

Your region settings are too narrow. Increase the mile radius on your region settings (linked from your profile home) to a higher number. If there is no content within 100 miles of your location, change the zip code in your region settings to the next closest big city. Major cities are the best bet. Editing Events: I uploaded a new flier and it did not update

Updates can take up to 5 minutes to change across all ClubDistrict.com servers. Wait 5 minutes then check to see if your flier changed. If not, please contact us. If you replaced an older event flier with a new flier and still see the old flier, right click in the blank space of the flyer preview window and click on refresh or restore. This should refresh the graphic cached by your browser.

Uploaded club photo are not showing

You can view your recently uploaded club gallery from your profile, but do not see it in the ClubDistrict club galleries. The most likely reason for this is that the city (where you took the photos) is outside of the zip code radius set in your profiles "region setting". If you set your region settings to only view photos and events from a certain mile radius from your zip code, content from beyond that radius will not display for you. You can search for the gallery using the gallery search form, or log out and return to the gallery page. Another option is to remove the the mileage number from the radius settings.

My video does not play

If the video you posted does not play, there could be 3 reasons:

1. Video is not from YouTube. ClubDistrict.com only allows posting of YouTube videos.

2. Video embedding was disabled by request. This is do
